- JOB TYPE: Direct Hire Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)
- LOCATION: Remote - United States only
- SALARY: $120,000 – $130,000/yr
- ESTIMATED DURATION: 40hr/week - Long term
THE OPPORTUNITYExperience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 3-5+ years designing for multiple platforms (Shopify and Wordpress a must)
- 3-5 years experience as a Senior Designer with demonstrated ability to own a project from discovery and design to development and launch within a relevant agency or industry
- Excellent grasp of the design thinking and prototyping process, including product/interaction/visual, with the know-how to move from pencil on paper to layout to pixel-perfect handoff using tools such as Figma, Invision and Webflow
- A strong product design portfolio that demonstrates successful ownership of multiple ecommerce site designs using best in class visual excellence
- Deep understanding of industry trends and design principles
- Passion for emerging web technologies is a must
- Fundamental understanding of typography, layout, color theory, use of imagery, content design and production, art direction
- Expert communication and presentation skills with ability to clearly present your work and articulate / advocate design rationale.
What you’ll be working on
The Senior Designer at Sweden Unlimited is responsible for designing best in class ecommerce websites for high-end fashion and luxury clients, applying expertise in interactive design, visual design, and prototyping to deliver cohesive, user-centric digital products and experiences to our clients. They are high-functioning creatives that are able to lead and oversee their projects independently, contribute originality and expertise to Sweden’s digital products, and keep the project on track. They are responsible for managing the creative elements of our client relationships and are familiar with the full spectrum of our digital offerings. They follow best practices within process and communication to deliver best in class work.
Responsibilities:
- Distill complex requirements into features that are incredibly simple and elegant
- Deliver designs rapidly while maintaining a meticulous eye for detail and consistency
- Make design decisions based on good judgement, experience, research, and data
- Concepting Designs, Ideation, and running a group critique
- Engaging with new clients and presenting to existing clients
- Manage the full lifecycle of product design from sketches and wireframes to visual design and functional prototypes through execution and launch
- Participate in design testing to ensure compatibility
- QA staged content and tweak as necessary following style guides
